If your touchless faucet sensor becomes faulty, here are some troubleshooting steps on how to fix it. First of all, clean out any dirt, dust, or water spots that might have obscured your sensor. Clean the sensor gently with a damp soft cloth, not using abrasive materials, as the slightest scratch can damage the surface. Check the source of power. If it is battery operated, change them with fresh new quality ones and align the positive and negative terminals. If it is an AC adapter type, ensure that both sides-behind the power source and behind the faucet are properly connected. If the above fails, attempt a reset on the faucet. Switch off the water supply and withdraw the power source, battery or AC Adapter. Wait for some minutes before reconnecting the power and reactivating the water supply. This will make the system to calibrate. Lastly, verify that your faucet is receiving sufficient water pressure, as low pressure can sometimes affect the sensor’s performance. If the problem persists, refer to the manufacturer’s manual for additional troubleshooting steps or contact customer support for assistance. Regular maintenance can prevent sensor malfunctions and extend the faucet’s lifespan.
